Kissed by the Baddest Bidder: Eisuke Ichinomiya General Opinion

He's the CEO of the Ichinomiya Group and owner of the Tres Spade Hotel where you work. He's the leader of the Black Market Auctions and he bought you.
He's arrogant and bossy.
Your response should only be 'yes' or 'okay' and you must answer within 5 seconds.

"You belong to me."

Eisuke is the first guy I played from KBTBB and (not going to lie) I picked him because he's hot with a killer look. And I love him! πŸ˜

He's a typical rich guy who does whatever he wants and expects people to just shut up and do what he says without question. His cold and arrogant demeanor can turn you off or just straight-up hate him. I'm don't mind his personality as much as his story arc progresses.

He's a very controversial character because he has an equal balance of people who just love him and people who hate him. Some people hate him because he's cold and bossy towards the MC and she's a pushover (to be honest). He's what you call a 'stuck-up king' πŸ˜† (the MC called him that in one of the special stories, not me).

Most people would have cut him loose just after reading his main story but I've stayed with him right from the beginning. (I'm currently waiting for Season 6 of his story to be released in the English version). The reason I'm sticking with him for this long despite people not a fan of him for his overbearing personality because ~ like every other character in the Voltage Inc. universe ~ while most of his personality doesn't change, his character does evolve into a better person.

Some people may disagree with me on this because his bossy and cold demeanour doesn't change much since the first season. But he's definitely mellowed out and he starts to treat the MC better. Besides, if they suddenly change his personality into a whole different person then he's not Eisuke anymore πŸ˜.

I've read all of his stories, including a few of his POVs, and I can say for sure that (while most of his 'negative' personality doesn't change much, just mellowed out) he's feelings for the MC becomes stronger each season.

*** Be warned for any spoilers ***

From the beginning of his route, he's portrayed as the arrogant, cold and bossy guy who values little of people's feelings. He doesn't like to explain or give a reason for his actions. His friends know him enough to say he "never does anything without a reason".

Evident in his main story, he can be a good guy but he just chooses to not show it and it caused the MC to misunderstand him. I gather he just doesn't want people to expect too much 'kindness' from him.

He doesn't have a split personality but rather 'a two faced mask' is more the correct term to describe him. In front of a business partner or guest, he present himself as a friendly businessman πŸ˜€ but in front of the auction managers and the MC, he reveals his true self πŸ˜’.

As his route progresses, he starts to value the MC's feelings and he really cherishes her ~ in his own stuck-up way 😝. He's the kind of guy who doesn't tell you what he feels unless he thinks it's necessary to. But he'll show you through his actions.

Yes, Eisuke stays arrogant the entire route only because he's confident in his abilities to solve everything. Who doesn't like a confident guy? πŸ˜‹ Some people might not like him but I do. Correction- I love him! πŸ’“

He usually carries himself confidently but he is prone to feel anxious and scared at times, especially when the MC is in danger.

Each season, they face a lot of challenges and dangerous situations that put her life at risk and you can see how desperate Eisuke tries to save her (and he always succeeds), and how far he's willing to go for her.

The MC in this game (or at least in his route) is by far ~ how do I put this? ~ probably the most gullible MC I've ever played 😣. The guys may belittle her at times and I hardly blame them, she's easily fooled and way too honest for her own good. Her responses and reactions to some things - at times - make you want to slap your forehead. Times where you think 'Are you stupid?' or 'Why state the obvious?'

People who hate Eisuke would ask 'why is she with someone like him?' and here I am thinking why is he with her? She's not the worst MC - just gullible. And I blame the writers for that.

I wouldn't say Eisuke and the MC are perfect individuals on their own. She's too gullible and he's ~ well, a complicated fellow 😩 ~ but I think they are perfect together and they complement each other well.

The MC supports him emotionally and accepts him for who he is. She also goes out of her way to try and understand him. Every other woman in his life before her only stayed with him for his looks and money. Never stuck around to get to know him like she does.

Eisuke, in turn, does everything he can to make her the happiest woman alive and protect her from the dangers around him. He's always thinking ahead of their relationship and tries to secure their future together.

Communication is one of the big problems I've noticed Eisuke fails to grasp in his route. The MC is usually the one to teach Eisuke about communicating their feelings to each other. And not all the time does he come out with his feelings.

Whenever something's troubling him and the MC senses it, he's go-to move is to have sex to distract her. And it always works! Like what the hell? πŸ˜– This is one of those moments you slap your forehead because she's so easy!

I find it a little baffling how Eisuke never learns to tell her when there's a problem and tries to deal with it himself. It makes sense, in his world nothing is ordinary and people are always trying to kill him so he doesn't want to worry the MC.

His refusal to let her know anything makes her constantly worried and when she eventually finds out, she - never fails - gets herself into trouble. It's pretty ironic how he always says she loves getting into trouble and I'm like; "She's always getting into trouble because you never tell her anything!"

So yeah, Eisuke is not always good at communicating. He won't tell her unless she pushes his buttons and gets him to understand how worried she is. So it's a little frustrating how this part of him never changes 😑. The writers try to win you over with his motive behind his secrecy being he only wishes to protect her 😩.

Another aspect of Eisuke is that he doesn't always tell her how he feels. He usually keeps them to himself because he's not used to expressing them. When they first went out, the MC was very insecure about the relationship because Eisuke never said: "I love you" to her. He still had his groupies around him so she wasn't sure about his feelings for her were genuine or if he was only using her to pass time.

In the epilogue, we learn he's never actually told a woman he loves her so it never occurred to him that he had to say it.

Even after learning this, he doesn't say it as often as the MC does but he's feelings for her are the same. The words "I love you" become special to him and he only says them in private. Even then, it's still rare. I personally find this sweet 😊. Some men say "I love you" all the time and don't mean it. When Eisuke tells her it's always genuine and he only says it in front of her.

As his route progresses each season, he becomes more affectionate with his feelings for her and he can be unexpectedly sweet. He's probably one of the most sexual out of all the bidders 😳 and it's only when in their private time does he whisper sweet nothings to her.

In Season 3, we learn Eisuke can't stand boredom and is always up for something exciting. He got bored of Dubai so he expanded his hotel to London because apparently, it's where all the fun and exciting things happen.

I find it unusual for Eisuke to want unexpected things to happen in his life πŸ˜•. Usually, you'd want your life to be smooth sailing after a situation but Eisuke is the opposite. It's not to say, he's looking for trouble, more like he's looking for non-life threatening challenges in life.

According to the MC, he's a "deeply lonely person who craves attention and stimulation" so it explains why he keeps saying her No. 1 priority is him. He's lost his family at a young age so he doesn't remember the love of family. She gives him all the love he could ask her and he's never bored with her.

She complements him in ways he can't like how she can freely express herself while he can't. He normally maintains a poker face and the usual smug but with the MC he can express other emotions and the guys notice this.

She's everything he isn't and it's pure. Her bright personality complements his hardcore exterior and she understands him well enough to see every part of him. That's why she's always putting so much effort to make him happy and Eisuke returns all her love by doing things he would never do for anyone. One example is wearing her hideous knitted jumper she gave him for his birthday πŸ˜‚.

I wouldn't necessarily say that Eisuke is an abusive person. He's what you call a jerk who doesn't like to show his real emotions if not in front of the MC.

In his POV from Season 3, it explains why Eisuke has a warped sense of marriage and family πŸ‘ͺ and it came from his upbringing. His tragic family history definitely played a part in developing this particular view of thinking. He knows family are "people who are connected forever by blood" but he doesn't know how else does it connect them with each other πŸ˜”.

In his own interpretation, he doesn't think Akira is his father because they are not related by blood. Akira is his biological father's benefactor who adopted him and loves him as his own but Eisuke kept him at a distant for many years because of his own misconception. Another reason for this happened in his childhood 😒.

Because of this, Eisuke plagued himself for years thinking had he not got the talent to run a business, Akira would have never adopted him. He never confronted Akira to find out if this is true so he built a wall between him. With the MC's help, he was able to confront Akira to learn the truth that Akira adopted him because he truly loves him as his son.

This was never addressed in 'Proposal' but the main reason Eisuke 'proposed' to the MC first time is because he wanted to provide security for her. Since 'Twist of Fate', someone has been targeting him and because he could be killed at any moment, he preparing for the worst-case scenario and wanted to leave his assets to her so she would lead a comfortable life.

He initially arranged to have $80 million transferred to her account when Kenzaki pointed out it would bring unwanted attention to her. Also, the Ichinomiya Group would not think lightly about him giving his assets to a woman with no relations to the Group. So he thought the best way for him to secure her future without being questioned is for them to be married.

He absolutely meant no harm in 'proposing' because he genuinely did think about marrying her one day. His reason proved how much he loves her enough to want to secure her future in case something happened to him. It was his warped interpretation of family that made her hesitate on signing the Marriage Licence. And because he went the wrong way about it. 😩

In 'Scattered Cards', the MC figures she doesn't always want to just blindly follow what Eisuke tells her. Before, she puts her faith in him and believes he's capable of handling any situation without her help. She soon realises she doesn't want to let him keep babying her πŸ‘Ά and protect her all the time. She wants to protect him as well and be useful to him and worthy to stand by his side. You go, gurl! πŸ‘Š

She makes him understand that she wants to be his equal and not always protected behind glass. It's one of the rarest moments where the MC actually comes up with a tactical plan and saves him, so it's a big accomplishment for her. πŸ‘

Her constant effort to have him to understand her really has an impact on him because he starts to lose his resistance to her 😁.

I'm not going to mention about Season 4's 'Engagement Cruise' because it was just horrible for his character's arc. So I've completely disregarded it 😀. The plotting was either random or rather just unnecessary.

You can read about it here but I wouldn't recommend you buy it πŸ™….

In 'Hidden Secrets', Eisuke finally gets the answer he's been searching for his whole life. He finds out what happened to his father and where's he been this whole time. However, the situation becomes more complicated when he finds out his father was framed by a crooked politician and cop.

To protect the MC from getting too involved with a crime, he chose not to tell her everything that's going on ~ like always. It makes her feel uneasy when she thinks he still doesn't want to rely on her or trust her with these things 😩. She eventually finds out about his father through the news and it upsets her when she thinks he 'lied' to her about his father.

Since the situation is different from every other situation they've faced, he actually had a reason not to let her get too involved in it. But his mistake is not telling her what's going on because it led to consequences she had to bear.

Ya think? 😑

From this incident, Eisuke finally learns his lesson not to keep things from the MC because she was put into a life-and-death situation. ~ It's upsetting up it took him five seasons to realise it but he's finally there πŸ˜©.

It scarred him to almost lose the MC, so now, he makes a promise to never keep any secrets from the MC anymore. Hopefully, he follows through.

However,  in 'Forbidden Choices', he kept another secret from her again despite his promise not to anymore. ~ Mind you, he feels guilty about it too 😟 ~ To fool his enemies, he had to pretend to act coldly towards her and he makes up for it by being sweet later in his suite (whether it was him or the imposter being cold to you).

It's important to note, Eisuke does feel guilty about keeping this secret from her. Feeling guilty is rarely seen in any of his stories (or probably since his main story) and for the first time, he worries about what she thinks of him breaking his promise to her.

The MC is about the only person important to Eisuke, the only person he would entrust her life to is Soryu. Before he left to go on his 'business trip', he asked Soryu to secretly protect her from his doppelganger (in case he got violent from her or she figured out the truth) and even gave him the key and access code to his suite.

Another time he entrusted Soryu to protect her was in 'Living Together' after they found a listening device in her pen. He asked Soryu to take her back to the Ice Dragon's place until he got off work to take her home.

Since 'Hidden Choices', Eisuke seems to have developed some sort of trauma after the incident that almost got the MC killed. He's constantly reminded of that night on the helipad when he found her lying there and it haunts him.

The helipad scene and the hospital scene (in his POV) were some of the rarest moments where he truly felt useless because he couldn't do anything to save her. In 'Forbidden Choices', he was willing to commit a crime when he saw her bandaged ankle, believing the doppelganger hurt her.

Because of his trauma, he always feeling or touching her (by that I mean sex 😳) to make sure she's really alive. I think it really affected him after this incident so he's more precious with her now.

Season 6 of his route has yet to be released and I'm sure there's more to his character development so I'll probably update this post or make another post. I'm really interested in where his story arc is heading and I really can't wait for Eisuke and the MC to get married soon. This had been dragged out for way too long and I think it's about time they bring his story to a close soon.

I really recommend Eisuke's route if you don't mind the ore-sama type. His character may be off-putting at first but he does get better. Even if it's little by little. Each season plot gets better and it gets pretty intense. The only story I don't recommend is Season 4 'Engagement Cruise' and trust me you won't enjoy it. Honestly, you wouldn't be missing much if you don't buy it.

Happy playing!

Kissed by the Baddest Bidder: Eisuke Ichinomiya S5 Forbidden Choices Review

Story Basis:
After the events with the masked man, preparations for your wedding are underway. You're enjoying your blissful days with Eisuke as he takes you out on dates while he enjoys teasing you every moment he gets.

Just when you thought everything is returning to normal...

The night before Eisuke leaves for a business trip, you have a dream about him and he's acting weird. You wave it off as a strange dream. When Eisuke leaves for his business trip, you expect him to be back in three days but he comes back the same day?!

Happy as you are to see him back sooner, you notice Eisuke is acting strange. He's cold to you one minute and sweet to you the next. He's picking fights with the auction managers and making difficult and unreasonable demands. They can't stand his tyranny anymore and leave New York.

Upset and at wits' end, you try to get him to convince the auction managers to stay and he refuses. Not about to give up, you suddenly discover the man you thought is your fiancΓ© is not Eisuke?!

What's going on?

His Personality:
Eisuke is just as sweet to you in the last story and indulges himself listening to your stories like always, even if he thinks they're 'ridiculous'. He knows you're trying to ease his stress from working too much so he doesn't mind.

He's more open to you than ever, sharing some of his childhood memories with you. He tells you about the secret code he made with his father after you showed him the secret code you picked up from one of your romance novels.

He cherishes your feelings the most and only ever thinks about your future.  ~ Aww. How sweet! 😊
He's proven time and time again how much you mean to him from buy you a lot of properties. This time he's built a church out in the countryside of New York where you will wed and has plans to build a new home to start your married life together.

Still ambitious as ever, Eisuke's one main goal (other than marry you) is to find the person who framed his father and split his family.  He has no intention to stop until he finds who the person is and reveal the truth.

*** Be warned for any spoilers ***

Despite his promise not to keep secrets from you anymore, he had to keep you in the dark once again and pretend to act coldly towards you. ~ Mind you, he feels guilty about fooling you too 😟 ~ So only when you two are in his suite is he sweet to you, to make up for being cold to you earlier (whether it was him or the imposter being cold to you).

It's important to note, Eisuke does feel guilty about keeping another secret from you after he promised he wouldn't. Feeling guilty is rarely seen in any of his stories (or probably since his main story) and for the first time, he worries about what you think about him breaking his promise to you.

Since you are very important to Eisuke, the only person he would entrust your life to is Soryu. Worried about leaving you for his 'business trip', Eisuke asked Soryu to secretly protect you and gives him the key and access code to his suite. Another time he entrusted Soryu to protect you was in 'Living Together'.

Aww. What a good friend he is. πŸ‘¦πŸ‘¦

Since 'Hidden Choices', Eisuke seems to treasure your life more so than ever and will do anything for you. He's even willing to commit a crime for your sake 😬.

Overall Opinion:
Not going to lie, I really liked this season especially the development of his route. The plotting is really interesting and keeps you on edge. I feel like we're finally entering the final arc of his character and it's coming in a full circle.

In the beginning, Eisuke explains why he started these auctions to find out what happened to his father. Through his route, the MC and Eisuke face a lot of challenges and overcome them together, now we're getting closer to finding out what really happened to his father and who's out of ruin Eisuke. This season, we're getting one step closer to finding the truth.

During the story, it was really hard to tell who's the real Eisuke and who's the fake one. But the real one is definitely the one who always appears in his own suite with the MC.

While the real Eisuke had to pretend to be cold towards the MC, I think the imposter was the one making those unreasonable demands the majority of the time.

The auctions managers were very much aware of Eisuke's plans so they were also pretending so the imposter doesn't suspect a thing. The only reason he didn't let her in on his because (according to him) she's a terrible actress and she even admits it. ~ I mean, I'm not surprised. She wears her emotions on her sleeve. 😩 She even confronted the imposter when she realised he wasn't Eisuke, and - like always - she gets herself in trouble. πŸ™ˆ

I really liked how the MC has become a lot 'smarter' this season. Mind you, she's not dumb, just naive and slow 😩. She's become more observant about how 'strange' Eisuke has been. Though, she gets confused when he switches from being cold one minute then sweet another. She just thinks he's stressed from work.

But the times when she knows there's definitely something wrong with him, she actually feels it. It's like a gut instinct she has.

The whole time when the imposter was pretending to be Eisuke, the MC was at wits' end when he chased away the auction managers. She probably would have kept believing he was Eisuke (just not himself) had the imposter not slipped up. The fake Eisuke didn't know what restaurant the real one took the MC on their date and told her to tell the driver (when Eisuke was the one who drove them).

What really made him slip up was when he said 'I love you' to the MC. And we all know Eisuke doesn't say it all that often and he especially doesn't say it stop her from pushing his buttons. So his habit fo not saying it enough really helped.

The secret code thing between the MC taught Eisuke and vice-versa really came in handy because Eisuke was able to save her (again). It just really shows they're connecting as a couple to have something like a secret code that only they know.

I was surprised to see Eisuke hold a gun and was willing to shot someone with it 😬 πŸ™ˆ. All because the MC hurt her ankle (she hurt her ankle from trying to escape), and it was the MC who talked him out of shooting someone. It really shows and proves the extremes Eisuke was willing to do for her. And it just proves how much she means to him.

This season really got me hooked because now I can't wait for next season because I think (or I'm expecting) the final villain shows up. I had the same reaction as the auction manager when they revealed the person who's out to ruin Eisuke.

While Eisuke is like...

I'm really curious about this final villain because he's not someone I expected (or any of the guys apparently). So I'm curious how this person fits into being the man who ruined Eisuke's father and is now out to ruin Eisuke.

I have a feeling, he may appear in the next season but I'm not too sure. Let's hope because it's time to bring this arc to a close.

I really liked how they had Eisuke develop some sort of PTSD (I'm not too sure of the proper term for this but I think it's trauma). After what happened to the MC in 'Hidden Secrets', Eisuke is traumatized at the memory because he almost lost the MC.

I really recommend this story if you want to see how close the MC and Eisuke has gotten. You get twice the Eisuke's in here. The doppelganger is quite entertaining in the end and in the epilogue because he makes these expressions that not even Eisuke makes. And it freaks the guys out. πŸ˜‚

What's even funnier is that animals actually like the doppelganger instead of Eisuke... when they have the exact same face! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Happy playing!

Kissed by the Baddest Bidder: Eisuke Ichinomiya S5 Hidden Secrets Review

Story Basis:
Eisuke has done it again and expanded his hotel to New York. Just as you get ready to leave for New York, you receive a mysterious text from someone claiming to know your fiancΓ©'s secret. You don't have time to think about it before you're jetted off to a new country.

At the opening party for the hotel, you meet a mysterious man in a Cheshire Cat mask who sent you the text back in London. Before you could find out what the secret is, the man disappears. You're worried about the masked man and Eisuke promise to protect you from him.

In the midst of your worries, you try to carry on your days as usual. You're about to become Mrs Ichinomiya but you don't know the first thing about business. You want to be a bit as useful to Eisuke so you challenge yourself to learn about business and he gives you the chance to work on a project to help promote the hotel. You're excited to be a part of this project and come up with an event inspired by your encounter with a guest at the hotel.

Just when you're getting used to life in New York, you run into the man with the mask again. He warns you not to trust your man who's full of secrets. You want to believe in your fiancΓ© but when the secret involves Eisuke's biological father and his whereabouts you can't ignore it any longer.

What secrets is Eisuke hiding? Can you still trust him after everything?

His Personality:
Still the same as always, Eisuke seems sweeter this season and more considerate of your feelings than previously ~ not that he's never been aware of your feelings. He takes you on a date despite his busy schedule with his business expansion to make time for you.

He's still very awkward with expressing himself and only expressing them through actions. His go-to move is obviously sex to express his feelings for you 😚. Other times when you get into a disagreement, he buys you cookies from the bakery shop you like as his roundabout way of apologising.

As sweet as he can be, he still strict as ever as your boss now that you're in charge of planning an event for the hotel. Noticing how serious you want to learn about business, Eisuke lets you be a part of his management strategy meetings.

While he's being generous and attentive to you, he's still calculating and tactful as always. His choice to let you be a part of his business project is for two reasons. One; because he was being considerate when you said you wanted to learn about business. And two; he did it so you would be distracted and too busy to think about the masked man.

This season, Eisuke's calm and collected composure is slowly chipping because the stakes are higher this time. He's still keeping secrets from you and he firmly believes that not telling you will protect you from the crimes he's about to commit (Well, it's sort of a crime but for the right reasons).

He's getting closer to finding out what really happened to his father all those years ago, and the closer he gets to the truth, the more danger he puts you in. He makes the conscious decision on whether or not to tell you the truth about his father and, in the end, he chooses to keep you in the dark. How stubborn! 😠

When you question him about his father, his go-to move is sex to cover up his anxieties or to conceal the truth. Even with Kishi's advice to tell you, he doesn't.

Kishi took the words right out of my mouth ~ It's not until something worst befalls you did he realise it was a mistake to hide things from you. 😞

*** Be warned for any spoilers ***

Overall Opinion:
For the sake of this review, I'm going to pretend that last season never existed because of the random plot and his dramatic personality doesn't flow with his entire route. Actually, I've already disregard it because it was just horrible 😀. Just the way the MC was treated and how the story was handled. Just horrible 😑.

Anyway, the pacing of this plot was really good and I'm so glad we finally got an explanation of Eisuke's father's disappearance. It's been a tease his entire route. The last we've heard anything about related to his father's case was since Season 2 and here I thought it's never going to be solved. πŸ™Thank god for that.

In saying that, the ending is just beginning, and knowing how intense Eisuke's route has been, it's just going to get tougher from here on. πŸ˜” Haa. When can they catch a break? πŸ˜–

The foundation of their relationship (or any relationship) is built on trust and the MC always puts her faith in Eisuke without fail. So when the masked man appears to her ~ in a creepy stalker way, I may add ~ with new information about Eisuke every time, she gets uneasy and starts to doubt their relationship.

I still don't like how he keeps secrets from the MC because it just shows, that after five seasons, he hasn't changed 😞 that aspect of himself. His refusal to tell her anything or the truth makes it worse and she starts to doubt their relationship. But she comes around and still trusts him.

In the end, she learns he never lied to her from the beginning. He only recently found out the truth about his father not long before she did and worked behind the scenes to clear his father's name. His mistake is (as always) keeping everything from her because it led to consequences she had to bear πŸ˜‘.

However, it's debatable on how he handled it. Had he told her everything from the beginning, she wouldn't be able to do what he got Kishi to do because it's not something she'd have access to. But he's still wrong for not telling her anything.

This season seems more dramatic and intense than any previous seasons and I have to say, I quite enjoyed it. The stakes are higher this season and more dangerous. I actually think the plotting had a purpose because of what happened to the MC, Eisuke finally learns not to keep secrets from her before it's too late. ~ Took you five seasons but glad you're finally catching on.

From this incident, he finally knows what it feels like to lose something special to him. And he learns his lesson about keeping secrets from the MC. It's baffling how he didn't learn his lesson from all the other times she's been in trouble. This time was a life-and-death situation that really scared him and he makes a promise to change himself.

Hopefully, he keeps this promise from here on. The start of it is when he says he's already making plans for their wedding. And honestly telling the MC how his mother was never foolish as she is when his father said she reminded him of his wife. πŸ˜†

And that's not all... Eisuke looks so much like his father. πŸ˜‚

It's so funny when he started talking about kid Eisuke. So not the Eisuke we know. πŸ˜‚

I really recommend this story if you want to get some closure on his whole father disappearance mystery. It's not exactly a closer. Yes, he does reunite with his father but it's still not the end of that. The ending is just about to begin is all I can say. Happy playing!

Overall score: 7/10

Kissed by the Baddest Bidder: Eisuke Ichinomiya S4 Engagement Cruise Review

Story Basis:
The Tres Spades has turned into a luxury cruise taking their guest across the seas to travel the world.
You embark on a new and fresh journey with your fiancΓ©e on a trip around the whole as a pre-wedding honeymoon. In the midst of your romantic getaway with Eisuke, he's accused of murder and is under house arrest.

What will you do to clear him of suspicions?

*** Be warned of any spoilers ***

Overall Opinion:
Usually, I would something about Eisuke's personality but I'm just going to skip that part and go straight into the review.

I have to be honest here - I love Eisuke but I was really disappointed with this season πŸ˜”. The plot wasn't very good - in fact - there wasn't a plot at all. It just seemed like a scapegoat to point out the weakness in the MC's relationship with Eisuke.

After what happened in Season 3 where the MC was stepping up to be his equal, you'd think their relationship has improved but this season was like a setback. The story started great with Eisuke spending time with the MC and learning to be more romantic with her. He watches a movie with her and goes along with her practice of Morse Code even though he thinks it's foolish and stupid. At least he's still thoughtful and does things he wouldn't do with anyone but her.

The moment, however, when he gets accused of murder and under house arrest, he pushes the MC away and straight out tells her there's nothing she can do when she's worried sick about him 😟.

The MC can't see him and wants to help him so she tries to raise money to bail him out (but apparently you can't bail someone out when it's a murder and she didn't know that). Baba and Ota suggest she sell something at the auction to raise the money. So she sells a (counterfeit) painting and it doesn't sell, setting the worst record in his auction ever.

Eisuke (sort of) appreciates her efforts but he mostly gets mad at her for doing something 'she shouldn't'. ...Um, she was just trying to help you. Give her some credit 😑.

The rest of the story was just upsetting and heartbreaking. The MC mostly felt useless and a burden beside him and I just think it wasn't fair against her. Eisuke didn't sugarcoat it either and basically thinks she's more work than less whenever there's a problem. It's really frustrating how her promise to become his equal was completely disregarded or completely forgotten at this point.

The auction managers didn't help either, they kept most of the details to themselves and kept her out of the loop. Most of the time they were making a fool out of her when she's really trying her efforts to bail him out and they knew she can't 😑😑.

I also felt Eisuke was ridiculously harsh on the MC for the wrong reasons. He also wasn't being very fair on her, saying she's always causing trouble for herself when really it's his fault. He doesn't tell her squat so she takes matters into her own hands and when it fails he's ridiculous hard on her.

The ending was anti-climatic. It was done rather poorly and really rushed because the centre of the story wasn't to find who's framing him but rather focusing on how 'useless' the MC felt being with Eisuke. In the end, he was cleared of suspicions and she didn't do anything.

So far, I've recommended his previous stories but, honestly, I wouldn't recommend this one πŸ™…. The plotting is so random with little to no explanation. This is just another point to prove that Eisuke has a lot of enemies who want him dead or have his reputation ruined. At this point, we already know that so this whole season was pointless. I'm glad it quickly went as it came.

This season just didn't fit or flow with his entire route. Basically, a side story you would say. His route would have been a lot better if this season didn't exist because it paints him in the worst light. And maybe the people who hate him were right to hate him.

I like Eisuke but I really didn't enjoy this season so I only read it once - well, twice. The second time for this review. So I wouldn't judge you for skipping this season and just jump ahead to Season 5. You won't be missing much.

*** There is another part to this season called 'Engagement Cruise After Story' and Eisuke is the only character to have it. It completes the mystery where we find out who and why someone framed him for the murder.

Overall score: 2/10

Kissed by the Baddest Bidder: Eisuke Ichinomiya S3 Scattered Cards Review

Image result for eisuke ichinomiya season 3

Story Basis:
You and Eisuke are now engaged but you have a long way to go to strengthen your relationship. Just as you're enjoying your newly engaged life, the auction managers decide to split ways. You feel insecure with this sudden change but Eisuke couldn't care less of their departure. The auction proceeds as planned when Eisuke surprises you by putting the auction itself to sell?!

Just when you think life can't get any lonelier, Eisuke takes you back to Japan in the middle of the night without an explanation. You're bothered when he starts acting strange and won't tell you what's going on.

You realise something's not right and set to find the answers yourself. You're depressed when he won't rely on you. Will you take this and stand down?

His Personality:
While Eisuke is still the same as usual, he's much more secretive and overprotective of you this latter half of the season. He still keeps most of his emotions to himself so you always end up guessing accurately how he feels.

He's just as upset as you are that the auction managers have split up but won't admit to it. Even when you ask him to get everyone back together, he's too stubborn to call them. Even when he's having trouble, he won't call them as for help.

With the MI6 watching both of you, it has caused him to be on edge and secretive. That's why he didn't want you to leave the hotel without him or without a bodyguard. He didn't want you to worry and tried to keep you close so nothing would happen.

*** Be warned for any spoilers ***

Overall Opinion:
I found it interesting that the second part of the season mirrored Eisuke's initial statement where nothing changes after they get married. ~ Well, they're not married yet... ~ But everything that happened changed drastically and neither Eisuke and the MC could handle the sudden change. So I found that interesting.

In this half of the season, Eisuke is a lot more stubborn and seems just a little bit more helpless than previous. He doesn't tell the MC anything that's going on because he's worried the MI6 would get violent if she knew too much. His inability to ask the MC (or the others) for help causes a rift between you and he uses sex as a way to avoid facing his issues or to take out his frustrations. πŸ˜”

I think Eisuke knows he's done wrong when he sold the auction without consulting Soryu and he doesn't know how to apologise for it. Probably, in his entire life, he's never apologised for a single thing because he has so much pride.

The same goes for asking for help. He usually gives out orders to the auction managers because he's basically their leader. Now that they've broken up, they don't need to follow his orders but they will come to help him if he asks (or if you ask them).

Before, the MC learns to put her faith and trust in him to solve the situation himself. So while she has her insecurities, she knows he's capable of overcoming any situation. And while she doesn't understand why he takes her back to Japan or his strange behaviour, she still puts her faith in him.

But now they are engaged and about to become a family, she doesn't want to take him for granted and just sit back for him to solve everything himself. Seeing him all stressed out and exhausted from trying to solve things on his own, she wants to help him and not just do everything he says blindly.

This season, I feel the MC has become a little more clever and not as naive as she was before. She's caught on that something is causing Eisuke to be on edge and why he won't tell her anything ~ Honestly, if she didn't pick up on this then she's the worst MC ever 😫 ~ and she's more determined than ever to be useful to Eisuke whether he likes it or not.

The MC makes Eisuke understand that while she's ready to support him anytime he needs her, she doesn't want to just follow behind him but stand next to him as he's equal πŸ‘«.

Now that he's come to understand where her 'rebellion' comes from, he tells her what's really going on with MI6 and why it's been stressing him out. The situation turns out complicated for him, so the MC takes matter into her own hands and turns to the auction managers for help. She comes up with a plan to help Eisuke be at an advantage thus saving him for the first time.

This is one of the highlights and rarest occasions where the MC is clever and cunning ~ something she learnt from him ~  and actually saves Eisuke's butt πŸ˜†. I mean, by now you must have learnt a thing or two from your fiancΓ© about cunningness.

In the end, Eisuke starts to acknowledge her strengths and her cunningness to stand as his equal. But I agree with him, she still has a long way to go. From this, I feel their relationship is getting stronger and it has improved. The only probably still lies with Eisuke and his willingness to communicate with the MC.

Overall, I really liked where the plotting was going just not the whole secrecy thing. It really took up most of the story. What really saved it was the MC's persistence to get Eisuke to understand her willingness to help him and see her on equal standings as him. She's changed a lot and has become a lot smarter. So I definitely recommend this πŸ‘. Happy playing!
