You work as a maid at Hotel Tres Spades, Japan's first hotel & casino. One day, you have been asked to serve VIP guests attending a party at the hotel. You accidentally stumble upon a black-market auction and broke an expensive item meant to be sold.

Amidst the confusion, you end up being an auction item and put on stage. The black-market owners place their bid and win you with $20 million.

You are then given the choice who buys you...

The men who won you are; the owner of the hotel, a Chinese mobster, a thief, the angelic artist and a slacker detective.

You get promoted to be the housekeeper of the penthouse and at the mercy of whoever bought you. How will you survive your days under his constant control?

My Review

I know there are a lot of people out there who hate this game because it heavily implies 'human trafficking' right off the bat. It's a very controversial game because there's a clear split in like and dislike in fanbase for it.

KBTBB is the first Otome game I played and (TBH) when I first read the title, I (innocently) thought the game was about a harmless auction where you win a bid to go on a date with the guy. Never did I think it was black-marketing until I read the game description. I was a bit iffy about it and I didn't start the game like a year later to give it a shot.

I actually liked it once I overlooked the whole 'human trafficking' element because it was all an honest mistake. Maybe it wasn't the best move for the creators of the game to showcase human trafficking in their game but it was a risk they took and some people actually like it. Till this day, it's still one of the most popular games on Love 365.

I've only played (purchased) 3 out of 5 guys from the original KBTBB lineup and I have been keeping up-to-date with their releases. At the moment, they are up to season 6 of the game but not all 9 guys had their main stories released consistently. Most of them have been forgotten as soon as they've been introduced in the lineup and only the more popular ones are getting new releases.

Voltage Inc. is kind of famous for releasing games and characters for a while only to forget about them. KBTBB is one of the long-standing games with a large fanbase but not adequately releases in terms of character stories.
